2018Dell Technologies returns to public marketsDell Technologies returns to the stock market on 28 December 2018 through an exchange of its tracking stock for Dell Technologies shares, valuing the company at approximately $21.7 billion. Michael Dell retains majority control. The relisted Dell is a fundamentally different company from the one that went private in 2013: a major enterprise IT infrastructure provider with $91 billion in revenues and its VMware stake as a crown jewel worth more than the entire listed company.
