• 1921 – 2013 Esther Williams (1921-2013) Died 6 June 2013, aged 91 Esther Williams was an American competitive swimmer turned actress who starred in a series of Hollywood aquamusicals in the 1940s and 1950s. She died in her sleep at her Beverly Hills home.
• 1961 – 2013 James Gandolfini (1961-2013) Died 19 June 2013, aged 51 James Gandolfini was an American actor best known for playing mob boss Tony Soprano on the HBO series The Sopranos, a role that earned him three Emmy Awards. He died of a heart attack while on vacation in Rome.
• 2013 Becomes Real Madrid assistant coach Zidane joins Carlo Ancelotti's coaching staff In June 2013, Zidane was appointed assistant coach to Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, his first formal coaching role at the club. Working under Ancelotti during the 2013-14 season, which culminated in Real Madrid's tenth Champions League title, "La Décima," gave Zidane close experience of top-level tactical and man-management work.
