He lived as a recluse in New Hampshire for decades after achieving fame, publishing almost nothing after the mid-1960s. He died at his home of natural causes.
1922 – 2010Howard Zinn (1922-2010)Died 27 January 2010, aged 87Zinn was an American historian and political scientist best known for his book A People's History of the United States, which presented American history from the perspective of marginalized groups. He was also a longtime civil rights and anti-war activist. He died of a heart attack while traveling in California.
